Delete your account · Fitbaw Factory
Last updated 2026-04-29
Two ways to wipe your data: from inside the app, or by email if
you no longer have the app installed.
Fitbaw Factory is a UK groundhopper tracker built by Michael Davidson.
This page explains exactly how to delete the account and data the app
has stored about you, what gets removed, what stays behind, and how
long it takes.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open Fitbaw Factory on your phone or tablet.
- Tap the Settings tab.
- Scroll to Sign in — if you've signed in,
tap your profile row. If you've never signed in, you don't have a
server-side account at all (see "Anonymous users" below).
- Tap Delete my account at the bottom of the
profile sheet.
- Confirm. Your account and all associated data are removed within
24 hours.
Option 2 — Email request (if you no longer have the app)
If you've already uninstalled the app, lost your phone, or are a
parent acting on behalf of a child, send an email to:
fitbawfactory@gmail.com
Include:
- The email address you used to sign in (if you signed in with
Apple's "Hide My Email", paste the relay address Apple gave
you — it looks like
abc123@privaterelay.appleid.com)
- Or your display name as it appeared on the leaderboard
- A short note saying you'd like the account deleted
We process these requests within 7 days. You'll
get an email confirmation when it's done.
Anonymous users — what to know
If you used the app without ever tapping "Sign in", you don't have
a server-side account. All your data lives in the app's local storage
on your device only. To delete it: uninstall the app.
That removes everything. Nothing about you exists anywhere else.
What gets deleted
From our servers (Firebase Firestore, Google Cloud EU multi-region):
- Your Firebase user record (anonymous UID + any linked email)
- Your profile document — display name, favourite team,
followed teams, notification preferences
- Every visit record — clubs stamped, ratings, notes,
timestamps, GPS coordinates of book-ins
- Every ghost-ground stamp
- Your tip count (used only for the in-app "TOP SUPPORTER" pill)
- Your push notification tokens (if any were registered)
From the public Terrace leaderboard: your row disappears
immediately when the account is deleted.
What is kept (and why)
A small set of things we either don't control or are legally
required to keep:
- Tip Jar transaction records — if you ever
tipped via Google Play, the transaction record is held by
Google Play Billing, not by us. We never see your
payment details and have no way to delete those records. Google
retains them for tax and legal reasons (typically 6 years under
UK and EU rules). Contact Google Play support if you need those
deleted.
- Anonymised aggregate counts — "total
visits across all users" type numbers used for app analytics
inside Firebase's own console. These are not linked to you
after your account is deleted — they're just integers.
- Email correspondence — if you've emailed
us, those messages stay in our inbox per normal email retention
until they're manually deleted.
Nothing kept after deletion can be used to identify you or
reconstruct your visit history.
Partial deletion (without deleting the account)
You don't need to delete your account to remove individual stamps.
In the app: open the Passport → tap a stamp → remove it.
This removes that single visit's record from our servers as well as
your local device, usually within seconds.
For broader partial wipes ("delete all my visits but keep my
profile"), email the address above and we'll handle it manually.
